Flag Football Tryouts Run From Your Phone. No Clipboards. No Spreadsheets.
Score sprints, routes and catching, flag pulling, and throwing accuracy at every station. Rizzler runs the whole tryout, from registration through balanced team placement, then converts your final rosters straight into your season.

Six stages of tryout season. One app for all of them.
Every flag football evaluation day follows the same arc: get players in the door, evaluate them, study the numbers, build balanced teams, notify families, and start the season. Rizzler handles each stage, and hands the finished rosters to your season.
1. Get every player in the system before the first snap.
Share the built-in registration link and let families sign players up themselves, or upload your existing league list and start from there. Either way, every player who steps onto the field is already in Rizzler with a check-in record, so nobody gets evaluated on a napkin.

2. Score the skills that win flag games, all morning or all weekend.
Create flag-specific templates for speed and agility (sprints and the 5-10-5 shuttle), route running and catching, flag pulling angles and technique, and quarterback throwing accuracy at short, medium, and deep range. Every evaluator rates players 1 to 5 from their own phone, no contact drills required, and scores sync in real time. Leagues that evaluate across a weekend of sessions see scores keep accumulating on each player until the last rep.
3. Analyze the data instead of deciphering clipboards.
Rizzler averages every evaluator's scores and ranks players automatically, so you can compare quarterback candidates on accuracy, spot the fastest athletes for your defense, and find the reliable hands for your receiving corps before you leave the field. Generate each player's skill breakdown with one click and share it with coaches or league board members. Evaluations are stored season over season.

4. Make the calls: balanced teams, fair placement.
Most youth flag leagues place every player, and the real job is keeping teams even. Work the draft board with the rankings in front of you: spread the quarterbacks and speed across divisions, drag and drop players until every roster is balanced, and show parents the placement was fair because the numbers back it up. Competitive programs that do trim rosters can designate practice players, hold close calls, and make cut decisions with evidence instead of tryout-day memory.

5. Send placements and offers, and know exactly who has answered.
Let Rizzler send team placements and roster offers to every family, then track every response in one view: offered, accepted, declined, still deciding. Fill late openings from your hold list without a single night of phone-tag with parents.

6. Teams set? Your season is already set up.
This is where Rizzler is different: accepted players convert straight into full team rosters on the Rizzler Sports platform, the same system that runs your season. Schedule, event, and RSVP management, parent email and SMS updates, mid-season skill evaluations, parent progress reports, and the flag football drill library in Rizzler Reps to keep players improving between practices and through the off-season. Other tryout tools end at the roster. Rizzler is just getting started there.
One roster, one set of evaluations, one parent report: the platform, the coach app, and Rizzler Reps work off the same data all season. Explore schedule and attendance and the flag football Rizzler Reps drill library.

“League coordinators tell us they can move a hundred kids through timed sprints, route trees, and flag-pulling stations in one morning and post balanced teams the same day.”

Frequently asked questions
What plan includes flag football tryouts?
Team Tryouts is available on the Club plan ($79/mo). It is built for flag football leagues and multi-team organizations rather than individual coaches.
How do players get into the tryout?
Two ways: share the built-in registration link and families sign up themselves, or upload your existing league list of players. Check-in on evaluation day marks who actually showed.
Can we run evaluations over a weekend or multiple days?
Yes. Many leagues run evaluation days across a weekend of sessions. Scores accumulate on each player across every session, so the rankings reflect the whole tryout, not just the last day.
How many players can one tryout handle?
The Club plan supports up to 300 players. You can run one tryout event with multiple age divisions and assign evaluators to specific stations, from sprints and the 5-10-5 shuttle to quarterback accuracy throws.
Do evaluators need accounts?
You invite your coaches as evaluators and assign them to stations. Each coach scores from their own phone, scores sync in real time, and ratings are averaged automatically. The Club plan includes unlimited coaches per team.
What happens after the evaluations?
In most youth flag leagues every player gets placed, so the draft board is about building even teams, and accepted players convert into full team rosters on the Rizzler Sports platform. From there you run the season in the same place: schedules and RSVPs, parent email and SMS updates, mid-season evaluations, parent progress reports, and the flag football drill library in Rizzler Reps.
